“Indeed, on February 3, residents of the settlement in the Rivne region blocked the work of a control post, at which servicemen of the State Border Service and staff of the National Police were served. The border guards were reported to the interacting bodies, the Rivne Regional Military Administration, the relevant law enforcement agencies, for legal decisions, ”Schaeschuk said.

According to him, the blockers demanded not to check vehicles, military accounting documents of men aged 18 to 60, as well as to eliminate this control post near the settlement. People also expressed a desire to collect wild plants near the state border. The head of the press service said that the participants of the blocking expressed dissatisfaction with the border strengthening from Belarus.
Shakhuk stressed that after the explanatory work with people on February 3, the control post was unlocked and the traffic on the road was restored.
However, as he said, the blockers reported that they could once again lock this road.
“We do not want to limit citizens in their rights in any way,” Schaeshuk says.
According to the head of the press service, the border guards operate solely within the limits of their powers, requirements for checking military accounting documents, as well as documents certifying the identity of all citizens within the border strip and controlled border area – this is a duty for servicemen of the State Border Service.
