More than 1000 damaged and abandoned cars will be removed in Kiev

More than 1000 damaged and abandoned cars are evacuated from Kyiv streets. This decision was made by the City Defense Council, approving the algorithm of their movement. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Timur Tkachenko, reports UNN.

According to him, these cars remained in the roads and adjoining territories for years, creating a number of problems. They interfere with the movement of special equipment and emergency services, worsen the sanitary condition of the yards, accumulate garbage, and at the playgrounds can be a threat to children.

According to the mechanism adopted, the city will identify special places for storage of displaced cars. Owners will be able to return their vehicle at the appropriate request.

“The decision is not about the disposal of these vehicles, but the movement of cars to separate places, where they will not create obstacles to the life of the city,” Tkachenko said.

Also at a meeting of the Kiev Defense Council discussed the functioning of public transport during air alarm. The authorities are working on proposals that should take into account both security and logistics aspects.
