How to reduce electricity costs: The Ministry of Energy has given advice

One way to reduce electricity costs is to move to a multi -zone counter. It can be two -zone or three -zone and allows not only to take into account the total amount of consumption, but also to distribute the tariff depending on the time of electricity use. It is noted that the two -zone counter divides the day into two tariff zones: daily (from 07:00 to 23:00) with a standard value of 4.32 UAH/kWh and night (from 23:00 to 07:00), where the tariff is reduced by 50% and is 2.16 UAH/kWh. Thanks to this, users can save significantly if they carry some of the electricity consumption at night.

To install a two -zone counter, you must first apply to the electricity supplier for tariff change. To do this, you need to have a passport, identification code and contract with the supplier. Next, you need to pay for the installation service and select a certified meter from the list of recommended. It can be purchased directly from the supplier or elsewhere, but in this case you will need additional programming from the distribution system operator,

After that, it is necessary to agree on the date of installation with the electricity supplier and call the master who dismantles the old meter, install a new one and seal it. The final stage is the receipt of the replacement act, which confirms the correctness of all work performed.

For proper accounting of consumed electricity, you must regularly transmit indications. The two -zone counter display shows two values: T1 (daily consumption) and T2 (night consumption). These data should be entered in the personal office of the electricity supplier in the appropriate fields to avoid differences in the calculations.
