In the Kursk region, the Ukrainian military is trying to influence the minds of the population, from which the Kremlin hides the realities of war declared by Russia against Ukraine.
About it writes The Washington Post, dedicating their publication to a small unit of Ukrainian soldiers who assist civilians that remain in the Kursk region and seek to convey the truth about the war.
“We put in their heads the seeds of the truth, which I am sure at some time germinating,” – quoted by the WP Colonel Alexei Dmitrashkovsky, who is engaged in documenting events in Kurshchyna, and is also a pressecretic of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces in Sudzhi.
In December, WP writes, Dmitrashkovsky listed how many civilians were killed (36) and wounded (100) as a result of Russian aviation and drones in recent months.
Since then, these figures have increased, and it has become more difficult to track due to increased shelling.
According to Dmitrashkovsky, local communication for residents is off and his phone number is open on the Internet, so he received many calls and messages from families from Russia and from abroad asking them to help them or at least send evidence of that that they are alive.
“For some civilians, he provided safe travel to other regions of Russia through Ukraine and Belarus, evacuating five more adults and three children in January,” WP writes.
He also tries to dispel the myths of Russian propaganda and arranges the shows of his documentary about Bucha – on the other side of peace.
Talking about the reaction of the Russians to the footage, Dmitrashkovsky remembered a teenager who watched the movie in the bomb shelter, “called the war” war “and said it was Putin’s war.”
And one 70-year-old woman, watching the movie, burst into tears and said, “Did they lie to us all the time about this situation?”
A blow to boarding school in Sudzh- What is known
On February 1, at 5:54 pm, Russia struck a boarding school in Sudzh. Under the rubble were 95 people.
There were locals who were preparing for evacuation. The General Staff of the Armed Forces noted that the Russian side had information that there were only civilians, including women and children.
Dmitryashkovsky also reported that among the people who were at the boarding school, most of the elderly and lying.
The General Staff stated that at least four people were killed.
On February 2, it was reported that under the rubble of the boarding school there are people. They cannot be thawed because of the constant attacks of Russian FPV.
According to Dmitrashkovsky, after the boarding school was hit by a managed aviation missile, the entire composition of the military commandant immediately went to disassemble the blockages. About an hour after the work began, the Russians struck another blow, but at that moment almost all people had already been removed from the room.
Dmitrashkovsky added that the Russians also attacked FPV-Dronami machines that evacuated people.
