The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported on February 3 that in January 2025, Russian troops suffered 48 240 losses – more than three Russian motorized rifle divisions – which makes January the second largest month after a full -scale invasion of Russia in Ukraine in February 2022.
According to ISW geolocation, Russian troops advanced in January for 498 square kilometers in Ukraine and Kursk region, or about 16.1 square kilometers per day.
