In January, the air defense forces shot down more than 2,300 air attack by Russia – the Armed Forces

During January 2025, the defense forces shot down 1,595 drones of different types, which Russia attacked the territory of Ukraine, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the military, air defense shot down 31 winged rocket X-101, “Caliber”, “Iskander-K”; Two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 12-managed X-59/69 aviation missiles.

Also, the air forces inform about the defeat of 1595 shock drones-Kamikadze type Shahd; 388 reconnaissance drones and 236 UAVs of other types.

“In January, the Air Force’s tactical aviation made more than 220 departments on aircraft for air intelligence, fighter cover, fire damage and aviation support for land units. Of these, 77 are on fire damage, 79 – for fighter aviation cover, ”the department said.

It is known that “in January 2025 aviation destroyed 215 air purposes, struck command points, UAV management points, areas of concentration of equipment and live power.”

Russian military regularly from various weapons – UAVs, missiles, booths, RSSUs – attacked Ukrainian regions.

The Russian leadership denies that during a full -scale war, the Russian army causes purposeful strikes in the civilian infrastructure of cities and villages of Ukraine, killing civilian populations and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply.

Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful.
