He noted that the Games Industry is changing, and Microsoft has ceased to be a traditional console platform: “They used to be like a blockbuster, and now they become netflix.” Such a comparison refers to the transition Xbox from the model with a rigid binding to iron to an approach to the spread of games on different platforms.
Boyes also wondered who can be considered a “victim” in the new Xbox strategy:
“Phil [Спенсер] And his team is releasing steep games on more platforms. But to whom it hurts? I asked the people who were the victim here, and no one was able to name any example, except those who just want the games to go out where they were used to buying them. ”
Earlier, Spencer himself claimed to focus on good games, not on the platforms where they would go.
Also we will remind that the new game under the publishing house Microsoft, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, has not yet been released, but it is already preparing a movie. The studio decided that such a complex narrative and complex characters came out in the project that the game deserves a film adaptation.
