GUR has rejected false accusations of organizing misconduct in Slovakia.
GUR was answered on Slovak’s allegations / UNIAN CollageIn the General Directorate of Intelligence (GUR), they responded to the accusations of Slovak authorities that allegedly military “subordinate” Gurgzinsky Legion was involved in the organization of protests in Slovakia to prepare for a coup.We will remind, on January 31 the officials of the vocabulary made such accusations against GUR. In particular, the Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo said that there was a “Georgian National Legion”, which is part of the Armed Forces in his country.
In the General Directorate of Intelligence stated that they carefully studied the charges. GUR called them “hybrid and information operations” aimed at undermining European countries and sowing of discord. Intelligence noted that such connections are a very serious threat to Ukraine and its partners.
“The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine officially reports that there is no unit called” Georgian National Legion “in its structure,” the statement reads.
GUR explained that its structure has an international legion and it is a multinational unit of active action, which participates in battles with the invaders in the hottest sections of the front and “does not carry out any hybrid actions in the EU countries.”
“Regarding the person mentioned at the press conference, he is not a Ukrainian serviceman, is not related to Ukrainian intelligence, does not receive any tasks or orders of GUR. This person stopped his contract with the international legion of GUR this person in April 2023 and did not restore it,” explained the situation in intelligence.

“European policies should be as responsible as possible for their words, especially for charges against friendly countries in order not to give any reason to hostile propaganda,” Gur recommended.
“We note that it is Russia who makes constant attempts to sow discord between the countries of the free world, discredit European politicians, interferes with democratic elections, organizes street lawlessness, and even carries out political killings in Europe,” – summed up in intelligence.
Protests in SlovakiaRecently, Slovakia has been engulfed in mass protests against the pro -Moscow policy of Robert Fitzo. He hinted that he considers these protests an attempt to realize the script of the “Color Revolution” commissioned by external forces.
Also, recently, the Slovak government has repeatedly accused Ukraine of interfering with the internal affairs of Slovakia, in particular in the context of protests.
On January 30, against the background of mass anti -government protests, Slovak police declared the intention to deport a citizen of Ukraine because of the alleged threat of a coup.
