“The main purpose of Umerov’s visit is to agree on the safety cooperation plans for 2025 and to visit the F-16 fighter training center,” the Ministry of Defense said.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.
“The Netherlands is one of our most fundamental partners. In all matters: the EU for Ukraine, NATO, as well as the responsibility of Russia, the Russian leadership for this war. It will definitely be – we will find a format, ”Zelensky added.
The first F-16 fighters that arrived in Ukraine were shown during the celebrations for the Armed Forces Day on August 4. According to The Economist, Ukraine received 10 of the promised 79 aircraft.
In total, the Ukrainian air forces will receive 24 F-16 fighters from the Netherlands within the aviation coalition.
