The statement states that “according to the decision, the contract will not be extended, so Bezrukov ceases to perform the duties of the chairman of AOP.”
The Defense Ministry added that “On February 1, the temporary performance of the duties of the head of the agency is entrusted to Arsen Zhumadilov. It will perform these functions before the approval of the new director in the prescribed manner. ”

Earlier, Bezrukov called on President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky to intervene in a situation that arose around AOP and the Ministry of Defense, and to promote its regulation in the legal way.
On January 21, the Supervisory Board of Defense Procurement Agency reported that its members unanimously decided to extend the contract with Marina Bezruk. Thereafter, the journalist and member of the Public Anti -Corruption Council at MOU Tatiana Nikolaenko reported that the Ministry of Defense did not agree that the decision of the Supervisory Board, despite the fact that, according to her, IUU should not be agreed, reported journalists of the Radio Liberty Radio Investigation. .
On January 22, the Supervisory Board of the Agency concluded an additional agreement to a contract with the current director of the agency Marina Bezruk for one year.
As explained in the agency, in accordance with the Law “On Management of State Property”, the exclusive competence of the Supervisory Board is to approve the terms of the contract with the head.
But on January 24, the Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov stated that the military department would not continue a contract with the Director of the Defense Procurement Agency Marina Bezruk, and promised to punish “all who failed work” on defense procurement. The Ministry of Defense also withdrew two representatives of the state from the Supervisory Board of AOP.
Umerov stated that the restart of the Supervisory Board will take place in the near future, and ASO will be appointed ASOC Director, who holds a similar position of head in another state -owned enterprise – a state -owned rear operator, which, like AOP, is subordinated to the Ministry of Defense. Zhumadilov himself confirmed that he agreed to become the new director of the defense agency.
On the air of Radio Liberty, he noted that Bezrukov has not been dismissed at this time. The Ministry of Defense, he said, must make this decision this week. He temporarily performs the duties of AOP director. And whether this position will be considered as a permanent position is not sure. And as the head of Dot, he is on a planned vacation.
At the same time, Marina Bezrukova says that she does not understand what is dissatisfied with her work in the ministry, direct claims, she says, Umerov never expressed, on the contrary – he publicly supported her ideas.
The Ambassadors of the Seven Group countries (G7) have already responded to the conflict between the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov and the defense procurement agency (AOP). They recommend to settle everything as soon as possible.
