The Cabinet of Ministers prepares a submission to the Verkhovna Rada of the Law on ratification of the framework agreement between Ukraine and the United Kingdom. The agreement is aimed at the development of defense capabilities of countries.
This was stated by Prime Minister Denis Shmigal.
“Under this agreement, the United Kingdom will provide us with up to 2 billion pounds for the purchase of air defense systems, missiles for air defense, as well as for the organization of repair bases for military equipment and other weapons,” – said Shmigal.
According to him, such bases will be located in Ukraine. Also, the allocated funds will help to significantly increase Ukraine’s defense capability.
“We are grateful to the government and the UK people for supporting us on the way to our victory,” the Prime Minister said.
It should be reminded that the budget committee of the German Parliament called on Finance Minister Jorga Kukisa to approve additional military assistance to Ukraine. It is an amount of 3 billion euros.
