The Mezhirichen GOK, which is part of the titanium business of Group DF, has launched the work of the enrichment factory for the production of an illmenite concentrate.
This is stated in the Group DF message.
The factory is deduced for a projected power – 20-25 tons of ilmenite concentrate/hour or 12–15 thousand tons per month.
This factory has been idle for almost a year due to the stop by the State Geology and Subsoil Special Permit.
The Mezhirichen GOK consists of two complexes – the production of ilmenite ore/production of rough concentrate and a feverish factory that produces an ilmenite concentrate.
In 2023, the Mezhirchensky GOK produced 500 thousand tons of ilmenite ore and produced 22.1 thousand tons of illmenite concentrate.
The production capacity of the enterprise can produce 4 million tons of ilmenite ore per year and produce 180 thousand tons of illmenite concentrate per year.
As reported, Ostchem companies in 2024 reduced the production of mineral fertilizers by 13% to 1.8 million tons compared to 2023.
