Details: As it was reported, on Thursday, Ukrainian deputy Alexander Merezhko announced censorship by the PACE Secretariat, which forbade to consider a proposal of a decision, where Putin was called a “terrorist”. It is a resolution “Europe’s obligations to just and sustainable peace in Ukraine”, which was submitted to the PACE on Thursday.

The initial text of the amendment suggested that “Vladimir Putin is a terrorist, under the guidance of which numerous acts of terror against civilians were committed.”
Against the backdrop of the scandal, which became public, the Assembly agreed to register if the Ukrainian deputies agree to remove the word “terrorist” in relation to the Russian ruler from the text. Network and other co -authors agreed.
In order to consider the corrected amendment, the Assembly was forced to move away from its own procedures and amended the vote without its consideration in the Committee.
The following wording was made to the hall to vote: “Parasey acknowledges that Vladimir Putin must be held accountable for numerous acts of terror committed against civilians during his reign.”
77 deputies voted, against – 1 (Belgian socialist Christoph Lacroa), 6 abstained.
