CBS News, citing sources, reports that two people are usually driven by helicopters and aircraft in the area – one of the most controlled air spaces in the world – but during the disaster, only one person did.
Officials are still investigating the causes of the incident that killed all 67 people on board two aircraft.
The US National Security Council (NTSB) stated that the previous report would be published in 30 days.
The onboard manner and the pilot cockpit, known as black boxes, can help the investigation find out what could go wrong during the flight.
According to CBS, the boxes will be transported to the NTSB laboratory located near the disaster and analyzed.
As of 00:30 on January 31 (in Kiev), law enforcement officers found at least 40 bodies.
