Commander of the 175th Separate Intelligence Battalion of the 76th Guards Airborne Assault Division of the Airborne Troops of the Russian Federation and his deputy incriminated violations of the laws and customs of war and ill-treatment of the civilian population (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1, 2 Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
It was established that in March 2022, Russian servicemen took away the colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine and another civilian man from their homes and brought to the site of the RFU troops of the forest area near the city of Vorzel of the Buchan district.
There, they tied the law enforcement officer to the tree, and the other man was put on the ground, and beaten with their feet and hands on the body.
According to the investigation, the Russian commander, in particular, put a wooden peg in the wound on the head of a law enforcement officer. After that, the victim was removed from the tree and placed in the pit where he died.
