On the Day of Heroes Krut, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with cadets and lyceum students 18 military educational institutions and defenders and defenders of Ukraine.
The head of state thanked the future Ukrainian officers who chose the country’s protection and its independence with their profession.
“I am sure that our country has everyone, absolutely all opportunities for you to be able to learn to be truly strong Ukrainian officers, and that you become educated people and well understood that Ukraine is needed,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.
The President noted that the Ukrainian army now needs not just a reliable officer, but people with modern views of officers on the army and life.
“In all circumstances, the safety of Ukraine is always-and in peacetime-will depend on the strength of Ukraine, each and each of you. Our country will always need an effective army. This is your main task, ”Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.
He called on everyone who teaches and learns to always be grateful to all Ukrainian heroes. The attendees paid a moment of silence to the memory of Ukrainians and Ukrainian women who gave their lives in battle.
While communicating with the participants of the meeting, the Head of State stressed that Ukraine has a fair peace, obtain reliable security guarantees and maintain a strong and capable army.
“You will always need Ukraine. Particular respect for the army was the highest level after the start of the war, and it is clear why. And so your service, work, your life will always be important and relevant to Ukraine, ”said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
They also discussed the improvement of the curriculum in military institutions, in particular through the exchange of experience with leading HEIs of partner countries.
Other topics of the meeting include an increase in the financial support of cadets of military educational institutions. The President noted that since March 1-2 year cadets will receive more than 8 thousand hryvnias, and 3-4 courses-over UAH 20 thousand.
