Sana Syrian Information Agency reported that Damascus also wants Russia to support Assad in the country’s civil war in the country, resumed trust through “specific measures such as compensation, reconstruction and restoration.”
Details: Reuters points out that in order to confirm whether they asked for Russia to return Assad and pay compensation, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov refused to comment.
Russia, whose troops and air forces have supported Assad for years against Syrian rebels for years, seeks to preserve its naval base in Tartus and Air Base Khmeimim near the port city of Latakia.
The loss of these objects will cause a serious blow to its ability to spread its power in the region.
