Details: In particular, the Slovak Prime Minister commented on Vladimir Zelensky’s last statement, which spoke about the possible transit of gas from Azerbaijan to European countries.
Fitzo stated that nothing left to the Ukrainian president, “except to talk about some gas from Azerbaijan”, and he “inflates the bubbles because he thinks that this bubble will release him from making difficult decisions.”
He repeated that Bratislava considers the “most realistic” option only to restore the transit of Russian gas-for example, if it bought it at the Russian-Ukrainian border, “and this gas would be transported as Slovak through the territory of Ukraine.”
Prehistory:
- The regular statements by Robert Fitzo is a continuation of his sharp rhetoric towards Ukraine after she stopped gas transit from Russia since the beginning of 2025.
- Among the latter, Slovakia’s premiere was angered by the support of Zelensky mass anti-government protests in the country.
