– On Saturday, veterans who lost their limbs at the front performed at the Capital Palace of Sports. Tell us a little about the fighters, and how did you come to organize their fights?
– I will probably start with the continuation of this story today. The volunteer chaplain of the central military hospital, which brought the guys undergoing treatment right now, wrote to me about the incredible impressions and the already voiced the desire of two men with limb amputation to go the same way-from prosthetics to speech on the boxing ring. This is something incredible, because the duels of the newest heroes in the Sports Palace were motivated by other fighters who are now treated after the injuries received, join boxing and try their hand in official competitions.
When wonderful Sparta Boxing Boxing Coaches for Igor Fanana’s initiatives began to go to Titan’s rehabilitation center every week to provide basic boxing school skills, I perceived it as multicolored physical exercises within physical execution and rehabilitation. And then she realized that the bar was set the maximum: who has the desire to thoroughly study boxing science, we will feed before entering the ring for official competitions. And this is nothing impossible, a person can everything! I watched these boxing training with tenderness, which is a dedication and what is the concentration on each coach’s word.
Yura Sheverrak and Dmitry Popov are generally my dear, because we met at a time when they were brought to the Kiev Hospital after stabilization. Both were difficult…. The months ran and the wounds did not heal. I often visited them, always came to them with mood and smile, kissed and told some interesting stories from the boxing world and my life. She loved Mamula Dimchki and Yurochka’s wife who did not leave the hospital beds. Returning home after these visits, I thought that in the future I could come up with them. Youth, positive emotions and comprehensive care of classrooms and nurses are able to work miracles, and the boys went to amend. Next – rehabilitation stages and great work on yourself. AND…. About a year and a half after the injuries, the boys go out to the ring, box.
– Are you, as the organizer who felt emotions during the performances of veterans?
– I am, above all, a woman, and then the organizer. Therefore, I will say how a woman – I love these men, for the sake of such people it is worth living in Ukraine, not running into emigration. I thanked them with my heart every second during the speech, worried more than when she was boxing, so that they were not accidentally injured, so that they did not get off, because the balance on the prosthesis is kept completely different. When they walked from the stage to the ring, skin ants and eyes filled with tears of joy and pride for them. Brave, holistic, fair, stable and confident in their abilities.
– What problems do you deal with when organizing such duels?
We did not encounter problems, everyone performed their task and worked with the maximum dedication. It was a drive on the one hand, and on the other – very responsibly.
– Do many military who are currently undergoing rehabilitation want to perform in the ring?
– Well, because boxing is now in Ukraine – it is a sport number one, sure, in the near future, boxing can be a mein -stream among veterans. Do you know why, and who else is a powerful motivator? All the military with whom I communicate with different medical institutions, they adore Alexander Usik, they love him not only for sports achievements, but above all, for his dignity, which he carries in his heart, for his sincerity and faith in every Ukrainian. Therefore, our modern Cossack – Alexander Usyk – is an example for them that there is nothing impossible, you are just a verse in yourself, work sadly and confidently go to your chosen way.
