Junior Sergeant Bogdan Christina. Photo 58 brigades. The junior sergeant Bogdan with the call sign “Christina” (by his name) is a native of Lviv region, and is fighting in the ranks of the 58th infantry brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky. The story of the fighter was published on January 28 on the brigade page.
The guy worked as a trucker, visited almost all European countries. But his turn came to defend the country: last year he got to his brigade.
As part of the infantry unit he participated in the most fierce battles in the Donbass, for his personal courage he was awarded the Honorary Breast Mark of the Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces “Golden Cross”.
He was wounded twice, but after treatment he invariably returned to his boys.
“I remember my first way out well. I just came to the unit, and immediately the commander sent as part of the group for evacuation. Everything went well, the boys were saved. And the commander says, “Well done, did everything well, so you will go to another combat mission tonight,” Bogdan recalls.
When asked which battle was most etched in memory, the guy replies that there were many.
“The fighting for the village of Urozhizhne in Donetsk is mentioned. It was difficult there, I had to fight in buildings, on the streets.
Once the enemy stormed and came so close that we were in the same house. I had to shoot and throw grenades directly in the corridors.
I mentioned then “Leader”, where they talked about shooting four hundred, six hundred meters. I think, yes, in a real battle everything is a little different, ”Bogdan says.
There was another, a little funny case.
“The sergeant sent us with the boys at night for the task: we had to pick up a place for a new position. In addition, I had to go to our old positions and pick up some equipment there. He was abandoned during the retreat.
I climbed into that basement, gathered everything I needed, found some bath, put in it thermal imager, radio, products, something else and I go back. Here I am noticed a hostile drone. I’m starting to flee, he’s behind me.
I think and think to myself: apparently, it has a fairly funny appearance: a person carries canned food, and the drone tries to take them away, ”Bogdan recalls.
He appreciates the front humor.
“Without it, it is impossible to have a discharge. I always try to support my boys, to help those who need consolation, motivation.
Of course, everyone is already very tired, exhausted. But we have no choice yet: the war has not yet ended, and we need here, ”says Bogdan.
According to the Armyinform, the fighter Vadim with the call sign “Duba” heads the unit of heavy drones-bombs 58 of the motor infantry brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky.
