Serbia Prime Minister Milos Vucevich resigned on January 28 after a month of protests. They began through the collapse of the canopy in the city of November in November, which killed 15 people.

“I believe that the policy I represent is the party I head should demonstrate the highest level of responsibility and introduce new rules in Serbian politics, proving that it is most responsible. Therefore, after yesterday’s events, my irreversible decision is to resign from the post of Prime Minister, ”said the head of the government.

Vucevich also stated that Milan Dzhurich, the mayor of the new garden, will resign today.

On the night of January 27 to January 28, unknown persons attacked several students, reported on the morning of January 28, their colleagues from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of the New Garden.

In a statement published on Instagram, students reported that four men armed with baseball battles pursued a group of students who glued stickers and stencils in the city.

It is reported that the incident began near the premises of the powerful Serbian Progressive Party, where the students glued a sticker to the garbage bin.

The resignation of Vuchevich took place a day after the President of the country Alexandar Vuchich stated that “an urgent and large -scale reconstruction of the government is being developed” in response to the requirements made by students of Serbian universities who declared a strike.

On January 27, protesters launched a 24-hour blockade of a key transportation in the Belgrade capital, increasing pressure on power.

Serbian farmers on tractors and thousands of citizens joined the blockade, which began after a week of protests demanding that the new garden be held accountable for a fatal accident in the regional capital. Critics linked the hinge at the railway station in the city in northern Serbia with corruption in the country.
