The National Anti -Corruption Agency (NAPC) has started checking the declarations of the People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak and his wife Olga Koval, who is also a People’s Deputy.

The verification is related to possible violations of anti -corruption legislation. At the time of January 27, 2025, checking their declarations for 2022 is still ongoing.
The reason for the audit was the issues that arose to the level of income of the family of deputies and their property. In August 2023, it became known that Yaroslav Zheleznyak and his wife settled in an apartment in the heart of Kiev. The cost of this real estate is estimated at about UAH 12 million. The apartment belongs to the test of Zheleznyak, Vladimir Koval.
According to official data, Yaroslav Zheleznyak’s annual salary as a deputy is approximately 660 thousand hryvnias, which is 17 times less than the cost of the apartment where the couple lives. Olga Koval, which also do not allow such costs, is similar to Olga Koval.
NAPC is currently studying all the circumstances related to this situation, including the origin of funds for the purchase of housing, declarations of property and income of deputies, as well as possible violations of the legislation in the financial statements.
