World Boxing Council (WBC) updated the logo and also introduced a new championship design. This was reported by the President of the Organization Mauricio Suleiman.
The main change – the Russian flag was removed at the logo, and Instead, Saudi Arabia was added due to the growing influence of this country in the boxing world.
“This radial reflects dynamic changes in world boxing and the inclusion of new countries in the WBC family. The new WBC logo includes several important elements that symbolize a new era in the history of the organization:
- Inclusion of Saudi Arabia: Increasing the country’s influence in the boxing world is reflected in its inclusion as a new member in the WBC logo.
- Ideal symmetry: both the lateral elements and lines of the logo were redesigned to achieve the perfect symmetry, symbolizing balance and harmony in this sport, ”the organization said.
