Ukrainian tennis players Lyudmila and Nadia Kichenok successfully started in doubles at the WTA 500 tournament in Linz (Austria), which is held on indoor hard surfaces.

In the 1st round, the sisters beat the tandem in two sets Ulrike Eckery (Norway) / U Fansen (Taiwan) in two sets.

This was the first meeting of tandems.

Lyudmila and Nadiya entered the tournament as a duet for the first time in 6 months. Last summer, the Kichenok sisters represented Ukraine in doubles at the Olympic tennis tournament, where they reached the quarterfinals.

The next opponents of Ludmila and Nadiya will be the winners of the confrontation between Katarzyna Pieter (Poland) / Fanny Stolar (Hungary) and Julia Graber (Austria) / Sinja Kraus (Austria).

Three more representatives of Ukraine will perform in singles in Linz: Elina Svitolina, Dayana Yastremska and Angelina Kalinina. A day earlier, Dayana and Angelina got their first opponents in the 1st round, and Elina will start performances from the 1/8 finals.
