According to the investigation, a 43-year-old resident of the Kyiv region used social networks to search for men who want to avoid mobilization and go abroad. She offered help in getting a disability group or marriage with a bride with a disability.
In order to find “clients”, the woman created a page on the social network “Facebook” and published an announcement about the provision of her services. To a man who was interested in the schemes, for 18,500 US dollars, she promised to issue a MSEK certificate with the definition of the disability group, the man agreed.
After receiving the money, the woman informed that the registration of disability was a rather lengthy procedure, so one should be safe just in case. For this purpose, the suspect offered to enter into a fictitious marriage with a disabled woman.
For marrying a 40-year-old resident of Kyiv region, it was necessary to pay another 3,800 US dollars, as well as allocate 10,000 hryvnias to the “wife” every month.
After concluding the marriage with the help of the “Marriage in a day” service, the “bride” and the organizer of the scheme were detained.
