The Ukrainian military has completed the defense of the settlement of Novovasylivka, located in the Pokrovsky direction in the Donetsk region. This was reported by DeepState on Thursday, January 23.
Earlier, analysts reported that Russian troops captured Novovasylivka.
As DeepState was told, the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade held off almost a division of the invaders for more than a month. For the last two weeks, the brigade was completely surrounded.
Analysts noted that the Russian forces consisted of units of the 27th motorized rifle division. These are the 433rd motorized rifle regiment, the 506th MSP and the 907th separate reconnaissance battalion. In addition, the 71st battalion of special forces and the group of the 24th brigade of the GRU of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation were sent to reinforce the occupiers.
