Former contender for the title of world champion in super heavy weight Derek Chisora (35–13, 23 KOs) intends to retire, but plans to bring his fight count to 50 (now 48).

The Briton is considering an option in which he will hang his gloves on a nail this year:

“I would like to meet Francis Ngannou in Africa in the anniversary match. I told the promoter Frank Warren about it, he will organize this fight. When I stopped working with Frank, I said then that I would return to him to finish my career. He was upset, but over time wounds heal,” Chisora admitted.

Derek will have his next fight (49th) on February 8 at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester (England) – his opponent will be the experienced Swedish boxer Otto Wallin (27-2, 15 KOs). After that, Chisora plans to have one last fight and retire.

In 2020, the British boxer clashed in the ring with the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk – in a competitive fight he lost by unanimous decision (twice 113:115 and 112:117).
