Law enforcement officers are conducting large-scale searches – more than 1,000 throughout Ukraine – to identify sales channels and storage of illegal weapons, the National Police reported on Thursday in social networks, writes UNN.

Details

As noted, the National Police conducts large-scale investigations throughout the country in cases involving the organization of the illegal sale and storage of weapons.

More than 1,000 simultaneous searches are carried out by operatives of the DKR, DSR, National Police investigators together with prosecutors’ offices. The main goal is to block sales and storage channels, as well as to remove trophy weapons, ammunition and explosives from illegal circulation.

Organizers and participants of these channels may face up to seven years in prison.

The details of the special operation are promised to be made public after the completion of all investigative actions.
