But the chances of that are too high. This opinion was expressed by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, in an interview with the local publication Blic.In particular, he expressed doubts that Trump will be able to implement the strategy of symmetrical threats and forcing both sides of the conflict to make concessions at once.
“Russia and Ukraine are not small countries, and both have lost too many people to make a decision so easily. But if Trump succeeds, let’s all put up a monument to him – he will save the whole planet. So I wish him every success. I’m rooting for him for it to happen. Do I think it will happen? May God help him,” said Vucich.
Trump promises to end the war in Ukraine As UNIAN wrote, the day before Trump repeated his intention to end the war in Ukraine and in this context threatened Moscow with increased sanctions if the Kremlin does not go to negotiations.
According to Trump, over time, the war in Ukraine will become even worse. So if a deal is not reached soon, he will have “no choice” but to impose high taxes, tariffs and sanctions on everything Russia sells to the US and other countries.
“It’s time to ‘make a deal’. No more lives should be lost,” Trump said.
