The Romanian Ministry of Defense warned that this was a military exercise of the Steadfast Dart 25 under the auspices of NATO.
The exercise is part of a series of planned training activities at the Allied level and has the primary objective of strengthening the response capacity and interoperability of the participating forces
It is noted that in connection with the Steadfast Dart 25 (STDT’25) exercises, “the transfer of military equipment and personnel of the armed forces of the United Kingdom” to the country is planned.
In addition, approximately at the beginning of February, “military equipment belonging to the French Armed Forces” will arrive in Romania, according to the message.
In order for STDT’25 to run smoothly, the national authorities, together with NATO allies, will take all necessary measures to minimize the impact on the local population and road traffic, as movement will be carried out mainly at night
According to the press service of the Ministry of National Defense of Romania, the Alliance exercises “have a defensive and transparent nature and are conducted with full respect for Romania’s international obligations.”
