Our players abroad: Kovlyar was productive in the Eurocup match

The teams of Ukrainian players lost their matches in the Eurocup. Litkabelis, which has already lost even the theoretical chances of entering the playoffs, lost to Hamburg 77:84. At the same time Oleksandr Kovlyar had an individually good match. The Ukrainian played 30 minutes, during which he scored 16 points (3/7 two-pointers, 1/5 three-pointers, 7/7 free throws), made 1 rebound, 9 assists, 2 steals with 4 fouls and 1 loss.

Hoventud lost to Trento 86:100 at home, reducing their chances of getting out of the group to a minimum (the Spanish team is two wins behind the playoff zone with three rounds to go). Artem Pustovywho played the first match after illness, spent 12 minutes on the court, scored 6 points (2/5 two-pointers, 2/2 free throws), collected 3 rebounds with 1 loss and 5 fouls.

In the ENBL in the match of the leaders of group 1 Valmiera Rostislav Novytskyi Voluntari beat national team coach Ainars Bagatskis. Novitsky played 28 minutes, during which he scored 12 points (5/10 two-pointers, 2/2 free throws), made 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 blocked shot with 7 turnovers and 4 fouls.

In another match of the tournament, Kayla Culbet lost to Dynamo Bucharest 86:92. Of the Ukrainians, Kayla played only Artem Kovalevwho in 36 minutes scored 18 points (7/13 two-pointers, 0/3 three-pointers, 4/7 free throws), made 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, 4 blocked shots with 2 fouls and 3 turnovers.

One Ukrainian played in the NCAA that night – Max Shulga helped VCU beat Rhode Island 81-57. Our defender played 32 minutes, scored 15 points (3/9 two-pointers, 1/3 three-pointers, 6/7 free throws), made 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals with 1 loss and 2 fouls. VCU is in second place in its Atlantic 10 conference, having won four of five matches.
