After the inauguration of US President Donald Trump on January 21, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping had a nearly one and a half hour video call.
Analysts suggest that Xi could have conveyed some kind of signal to Putin, a message from the newly elected American president.
Political scientist Ihor Reiterovych told on Radio NV how powerful the connection between the countries of the axis of evil — China-Russia — really is and what Trump has already managed to do.
They are powerful economically. Let’s not forget that Russia, from an economic point of view, is stupidly a commodity appendage. And in Russia they know it and recognize it.
But China has a claim to the world’s second economy. As Trump said, by the way, in his last speech, “we are strong and they are strong.” That is, he recognizes the power of China.
“He has no respect for people.” The media draw attention to the fact that Trump began his first days in power with a series of harsh statements about Putin
And there is a certain understanding that with the support of China (not military, but economic) Russia can wage war for a sufficiently long period of time.
