WBA, WBO, WBC and IBO heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk told how he started boxing.
“I used to play football, but my father convinced me to try boxing. I went to one hall, but they told me that I was too old for it, that they don’t take 15-year-olds. I went to another hall – history repeated itself. But one day my friend took me to training, I remember my first sparring, my face was smashed, blood was pouring from my nose. Then my first coach was Serhiy Lapin, I thank him very much for everything,” Usyk said.
