It is noted that on January 21, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkey, Ali Yerlikaya, expressed condolences in connection with the death of 76 people as a result of a fire in a hotel.
The identities of 52 bodies have been identified with their families, and the bodies of 45 dead citizens have been handed over to their families as of now. As for the rest, we were unable to conduct identification studies
The head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry added that nine people have already been detained in connection with the incident (previously it was reported about four).
“The entire process from the first day of operation of the hotel to today is being studied in great detail,” the official promised.
