The start of the match at “Ali Sami Yen” took place to the accompaniment of the home team. As early as in the 4th minute, Turkish defender Abdulkerim Bardakci could have opened the scoring after a corner, but Kostyantyn Vyvcharenko headed the ball from the goal line, sending the ball to another corner, from which the Turks still managed to score.
Dries Mertens made an accurate pass to the penalty area, where David Sanchez jumped above everyone else and crossed the leather to the corner, where Vivcharenko was again, but this time it was not possible to save the goal – 1:0 in the 6th minute.
“Galatasaray” did not stop there and doubled the advantage in 15 minutes. Abdulkerim Bardakchi, who failed to stand out in the first episode, shot from a distance and the ball, thanks to the ricochet from Oleksandr Tymczyk’s back, ended up in the net. Ruslan Nescheret had no chance to stop him, as the leatherman suddenly changed the trajectory of his movement.
The game calmed down a bit after that, but already at the end of the half, the Kyiv team managed to reduce the deficit, although in this episode there were doubts whether the referee would award a goal. At minute 43-1, Tymchyk on the wing passed to Vitaly Buyalskyi, but the captain was a little late, so it seemed that the ball went out of bounds. On replay, it is impossible to tell whether the ball completely crossed the field line, so this episode will be discussed.
The Kyiv captain ran down the flank, cut to Vanat, the forward broke away from Sanchez, beat Fernando Muslera, and shot past the keeper. Muslera even touched the ball, but the leather man still got into the net – 2:1.
The second half started with a series of substitutions for “Dynamo”, which in the future brought their results, but first there was another scandalous episode, which led to the third goal scored by “Galatasaray”. In the 48th minute, the Turks earned the right to a corner, which Mertens executed – Bardakci threw it to the far post, and Barysh Yilmaz wanted to keep the ball in the field, so he played with his hand. The referee showed a second yellow for the Turk and removed him from the field. Subsequently, the referee decided to review the VAR system, and based on the results of the review, canceled the red card for Yılmaz, gave a yellow card to Tymchyk for violating the rules in his own penalty area, and awarded a penalty, which Viktor Osymgen converted, punching through the center – 3:1.
Kyiv managed to reduce the gap again in the 68th minute thanks to the goal of substitute Andrii Yarmolenko. Oleksandr Pikhalyonok, who also came on as a substitute, served from a corner to the goalkeeper’s area, where Yarmolenko hit it right into the net – 3:2.
In the 80th minute, Buyalskyi made a pass from the wing to the penalty area, where the same Yarmolenko jumped above everyone else and headed the double – 3:3. Two minutes before the end, “Galatasaray” could have won back, but Osymgen’s shot from a few meters was firmly recorded by Nescheret.
The final whistle recorded a battle draw – 3:3, as well as the first points of “Dynamo” in the current draw of the Europa League.
“Dynamo” is in last place in the table, and “Galatasaray” rose from 6 to 5 for the day.
