The greatest number of Russian attacks, as in the past few months, were in the Pokrovsky direction – the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 29 times in the areas of the settlements of Vodiane Druge, Myrolyubivka, Elizavetivka, Myrnograd, Kotlyne, Nadiivka, Andriivka, Shevchenko, Dachne, Ulakly and Yantarne. Pershe Travnia, Troyanda and Pokrovsk were hit by airstrikes.
According to the headquarters, Russian troops are also continuing attacks in the Kharkiv, Kupyan, Lyman, Siver, Kramatorsk and Toretsk directions.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, two assaults of the enemy have been stopped, three more assaults are continuing until now – the Russian invaders are trying to attack the positions of Ukrainian units in the area of Constantinople, Rozlyv, Velika Novosilka and in the direction of Privilny, and in the Dnieper direction in the area of Cossack Island, the enemy attacked once today unsuccessfully stormed the positions of Ukrainian defenders, the General Staff adds.
The other day, the representative of the “Khortytsia” OSU Viktor Tregubov stated that the situation in Pokrovsk remains “stable”, there are no Russian troops there. According to the military, “the enemy is trying to get hold of the area south of Pokrovsk in order to advance to the southwest of the settlement and cut the logistics routes.”
According to the observations of the Institute for the Study of War on January 13, Russian troops are cutting roads to the east and west of Pokrovsk in an attempt to surround the city.
The DeepState project and the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported that the Russian army in the first days of 2025 is actively capturing new territories to the south, southeast and east of Pokrovsk.
