As noted by Radioestadio Noche on Onda Cero radio, Ancelotti wants to end his contract, which runs until 2026, an hour earlier. According to the Italian coach, the team needs a new vision of the style of play, since “Real” has recently shown unstable results.
During his second tenure at Real Madrid, Ancelotti won many titles: he won the Spanish championship twice, triumphed twice in the Champions League, and also won the Spanish Cup, the European Super Cup and the World Club Championship.
Despite his decision, Carlo leaves open the possibility of ending the contract in 2026, if the results of the current season are successful for the team.
The main contender for the post of Real Madrid coach next season is Xabi Alonso, the current coach of Bayer Leverkusen. However, his appointment is not yet final, as the situation may still change.
