Now the game reached bloggers, who began to carefully analyze all aspects of the project.The author of the YouTube channel Boomstick Gaming showed how elaborate the world of the sequel is. It is safe to say: developers from Warhorse Studios took all the most interesting and original mechanics of the first part and reduced them to the absolute. The blogger talked about the most interesting details of the upcoming game:
- The horse is able to rear up, and enemies will be frightened if it is done right in front of them.
- Crossbows can be loaded faster by pre-tensioning the bowstring, after which the hero just has to insert the bolt. However, with the crossbow string drawn, the weapon switching animation takes longer.
- The system of crimes has been seriously reworked: for a small offense, Henry will be sent to the bars, for a crime of medium severity – he will be flogged in the square, and for serious offenses – he will be given a brand that will be visible on the character model. If you commit one more stigmatized crime, Henry will be hanged and it’s game over.
- In some cutscenes, a small dinosaur appears in the background as an Easter egg.
- If you reduce the strength of a pole weapon to zero, it will completely break, turning into a stick. But even she can fight.
- NPCs will now recognize their stolen clothes as Henry, and if they try to put on stolen guard armor, the hero will be arrested.
- The quality of harvested herbs now affects brewed potions, for example Calendula decoction will restore less health if it was brewed with poor quality ingredients. In addition, the player must now select the desired herbs from his inventory.
- Henry can throw rocks to distract enemies. They also interact with the whole world: you can knock birds’ nests out of trees with stones or annoy passers-by.
- NPCs have lines for all occasions: they react to throwing stones, breaking into a house, killing chickens in the village, naked or dirty Henry.
- Now Henry can wash in lakes, and if he has soap with him, he can also wash clothes.
- Wounded NPCs look for a place to sleep to recover, just like the player.
- It is now possible to store multiple sets of gear, such as for fights and for conversations, and change them with the press of a button.
- Cooking options have been expanded: now meat can be dried and smoked so that it remains usable longer.
The blogger was very impressed with the game, because he found all these details almost at the very beginning of the game.
