In Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a lawyer who recruited agents for military intelligence of the Russian Federation, and also defended already exposed accomplices of the enemy in court. About this UNN reports with reference to the SBU press service.

Details

According to the SBU, it is documented that the lawyer first helped the Rashists to “pick up” the adjuster of enemy fire in Ukraine, and after the informant’s detention – defended him in court.

According to the investigation, the lawyer was recruited by Vitaly Naumov, an employee of the Russian game, during a personal meeting in Russia back in 2015.

After the start of the full-scale invasion, he not only searched for new agents and defended them in the courts, but also gave the Russian special services information about SBU employees who were mentioned in the materials of criminal proceedings and exposed traitors, as well as copied and transferred procedural documents to representatives of the Russian Federation.

For each completed task, the agent received a monetary “reward” from Naumov, which was sent to him through anonymous money transfers.

SBU employees detained the lawyer at his place of residence in Kyiv. During the searches, a mobile phone was seized from him, which he used to communicate with the enemy and other agents.

On the basis of the collected evidence, the investigators of the Security Service informed the detainee of the suspicion under Article 1, 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law).

The issue of selecting a preventive measure for him is being resolved. The perpetrator faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
