Minister of Digitalization of Poland Krzysztof Hawkowski said that Russian special services are trying to recruit Poles to destabilize the situation in the country before the elections.
On the air of RMF FM, he warned citizens that any contact with foreign special services is punishable by prison.
According to him, Russian special services turn to specialists in the Darknet, through whom the Russian Federation offers Poles “thousands of euros” to persuade to act against their country.
The minister noted that the Russian intelligence service wants to use Polish citizens to spread disinformation on the Internet.

Gavkovsky promised to announce a plan to protect elections in cyberspace in January. All parties that nominate presidential candidates will be invited to cooperate.
The first round of presidential elections in Poland will take place on May 18, 2025. The second round, if necessary, will be held on June 1.
