De la Hoya vs Hearn. Usyk’s potential opponent will perform on the 5×5 show

In the summer of 2025, the “Battle of promoters” will take place in Saudi Arabia – influential officials Eddie Hearn and Oscar de la Hoya will field five boxers who will fight against each other.

The 5×5 tournament will be organized by Riadh Season manager Turki Al-Sheikh. In the first season, a similar battle was already held – Hearn’s representatives lost (0:10) all their matches to another well-known promoter, Frank Warren.

It is reported that the main event of this show will be a fight for three titles in the cruiserweight category – the champion according to the version of the IBF Jay Opetaya will meet with WBO and WBA belt holder Hilberto Ramirez.

“It seems to me that Opetay – Ramirez will be the best match possible. We have spoken with all interested parties and can confirm that this fight will be part of the upcoming event,” said Eddie Hearn.

Opetaya is considered by experts as one of the likely opponents for the super heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.
