According to the information of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of January 18 (from 19:00 on January 17), the enemy attacked with 39 attack UAVs of the “Shahed” type and simulator drones of various types from the directions: Millerovo, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russian Federation, and also used four ballistic missiles “Iskander-M” https://unn.ua/KN-23 (launches from Voronezh and Bryansk regions – Russian Federation).

The air attack was repulsed by anti-aircraft missile forces, units of electronic defense systems, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

As of 08.00, two Iskander-M https://unn.ua/KN-23 ballistic missiles were confirmed to have been shot down in Kyiv region and 24 Shahed-type strike UAVs and other types of drones in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv , Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Donetsk regions 14 enemy imitator drones – lost in location (no negative consequences)

“Unfortunately, as a result of an enemy attack on Kyiv, people were killed – downed ballistic missiles fell in the Shevchenkiv district of the city. The production building of the enterprise was partially destroyed, houses, the entrance to the subway, cars and the main water supply were damaged,” the Air Force stated.
