A ministerial-level meeting was held in Kyiv, where representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania, Slovenia, Turkey, Croatia, and Montenegro came to participate in the first meeting in the “Ukraine-Southeastern Europe” format. .
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, thanked the countries for their unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and assistance in restoring stability in the region. In his speech, he emphasized that thanks to cooperation within this format, it was possible to establish deeper mutual understanding and implement important initiatives, in particular in the fields of demining and humanitarian aid.
Particular attention was paid to strengthening defense capabilities, developing human capital, implementing infrastructure projects, and ensuring global food security. The representatives of the countries expressed their readiness to continue supporting Ukraine on its way to the EU, as well as to strengthen regional cooperation to achieve stability in Europe.
This meeting was a logical continuation of the already established cooperation format launched in 2022, after the summits in Greece, Albania and Croatia.
