The Embassy of Albania has opened its doors in Kyiv

On Friday, January 17, the Embassy of the Republic of Albania opened its doors in Kyiv, Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiga announced on X’s social network.

According to the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, “this is the first new embassy that opened in Ukraine during the full-scale invasion of Russia.”

The solemn opening ceremony of the diplomatic mission was conducted by the heads of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine, Andriy Sybiga, and Igli Hasani, of Albania.

“This is a symbol of Ukrainian-Albanian stability, unity and common future in the EU and NATO,” Sybiga said.

Earlier, at the beginning of 2024, it became known that Albania plans to start the work of its embassy in Kyiv “in the near future”. At that time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine noted that “this will strengthen relations between the countries.”
