“According to the SAP, during the operation of the scheme, the people’s deputy used his status and connections to solve issues, as well as received shadow dividends”, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org
As the SAP press service reports on social networks, the actions of the people’s deputy are qualified under 3 Art. 27, ch. 5th century 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (appropriation, waste of property or taking possession of it by abuse of official position).
According to the investigation, the deputy, using his influence, created obstacles in the activity of the entrepreneur in order to involve him in the implementation of an illegal scheme – later, having secured “support”, the people’s deputy together with the entrepreneur developed a criminal scheme to seize the funds of “Ukrzaliznytsia” while supplying products at inflated prices.
SAP believes that in order to commit the crime, they entered into a conspiracy with members of another organized group, which included an official of “Ukrzaliznytsia” and other persons who exercised informal control over the company’s activities.
According to the prosecutor’s office, during 2021-2022, two enterprises controlled by the people’s deputy and an entrepreneur won the procurement of Ukrzaliznytsia for the supply of cable and conductor products.
According to the investigation, after applying various schemes to increase the value of products, they sold them to Ukrzaliznytsia at prices significantly higher than market prices, which caused the company losses in the amount of more than UAH 140 million.
The prosecutor’s office also notes that during the operation of the scheme, the suspected People’s Deputy used his status and connections to solve issues, as well as received shadow dividends from the implementation of the criminal scheme.
Based on these facts, 8 persons were notified of suspicion.
SAP does not specify the name of the deputy, however, according to some media, it is about Viktor Bondar – in 2019-2020 he was in the deputy group “For the Future”, now he is not a member of any faction.
So far, the deputy has not commented on his possible involvement in this case.
