Head of the General Directorate of Entertainment of Saudi Arabia Turki Al-Sheikh shared his opinion about the main problem of modern boxing – the official believes that boxers are too obsessed with their record:
“They have a fear of possible defeats. That’s what’s bothered me about boxing for the last ten years. After the generation of Mayweather, all boxers think about not losing in their career, and this is wrong.
Even in the old days, the legendary Muhammad Ali lost more than five times, all great athletes lost and won. Thoughts of defeat should not remain in your head,” concluded Turki Al-Sheikh.
It was previously reported that the head of Riyadh Season and the new owner of The Ring is in talks with the world’s best boxers to organize new fights before the end of this year.
