Google has announced that its artificial intelligence chatbot Gemini will provide breaking news from the Associated Press in the tech giant’s first such deal with a news publisher. This is reported by AP, writes UNN.

Details

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed, but the partnership builds on AP’s previous collaboration with Google to deliver real-time news through the company’s search engine, AP reported.

Christine Heitmann, senior vice president and chief revenue officer at AP, said the partnership between AP and Google demonstrates the importance of independent journalism and accuracy in working with generative products based on artificial intelligence.

According to Jaffer Zaidi, Google’s vice president of global news partnerships, users of Google Workspace subscriptions for business and enterprise will soon have access to Gemini features at no additional cost.

We will remind

Back in May of last year, Google planned to integrate Gemini AI into Gmail, providing features such as AI email sorting, missed email summaries, Google Drive attachment organizing, missed meeting summaries, and AI-powered email searches.
