One of the most anticipated fights of the year between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua is on the verge of collapse, as the “Gypsy King” has announced his retirement.
His close friend is ready to replace Fury – a star New Zealand heavyweight Joseph Parker. This was told by Parker’s promoter David Higgins.
“Joshua 100% wants this fight, and Parker has said many times before that he dreams of a rematch. It would be great if they met again in the ring. Let’s see how the map will turn out. Joseph is ready to return already in the summer. If he beats DuBois and gets a good offer for the fight with Joshua, he will definitely accept it,” said Higgins.
Parker will fight Daniel Dubois for the IBF title on February 22. In 2018, Anthony Joshua defeated Joseph Parker by unanimous decision and took the WBO title from him.
