Yesterday, on the eve of the Day of the State Security Administration, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated the employees of the State Security Service and awarded them with orders and medals.
The head of state noted that usually their service remains invisible to the majority of Ukrainians, but without it it is impossible to ensure the work of diplomats, Ukrainian state bodies and officials, and visits of foreign delegations.
“Security, especially in times of war, is one of the greatest values. I am grateful to all of you for guaranteeing security for our state institutions and for our partners arriving in Ukraine. I would also like to thank you for your willingness to change exactly as the tasks require. I know that a lot has changed in UDO, and I am sure that these changes are for the best,” said the President.
Those present honored the memory of UDO workers who gave their lives for the sake of the state and the safety of Ukrainians.
