As Ukrinform reports with reference to the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands, it is about 1,530 such bulletproof vests.

“For the first time, the Ministry of Defense will purchase a large volume of body armor specially designed for women. It is about 1,530 units. They will be ordered from the TYR Tactical company,” the message reads.

It is expected that the first such bulletproof vests may arrive already in the summer.

Until now, men and women in the army of the Netherlands used the same body armor. The new models take into account the features of the female body: they are slightly lighter and more adjustable.
